Some good jokes!

The Washington Post invited its readers to take a word, possibly add, subtract  or change a letter and supply a new definition. Here are some of the best!

Decafalon: The gruelling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.

Abdicate: To give up all hope of ever having a flat stomach.

Flabbergasted: Appalled by discovering how much weight one has gained.

Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease.

Karmageddon: It’s like, when everybody is sending off all these bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it’s like, a serious bummer.

Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn’t get it.

Rectitude: The formal, dignified bearing adopted by proctologists.

If you love words and language there are some great books currently available – see the next blog.
